CODING CAMP TEENS
Learn coding and make an arcade game with Stencyl
In this coding camp, your teen will learn how to create and code a video-game with the free software Stencyl:
- CODING Teens follow the animator’s instructions and learn step-by-step how to create an arcade-gamein the theme of Star Wars. Control your spaceship to avoid and destroy asteroids. What will be your highest score? Stencyl is a real video-game making platform, with a visual approach of code (with blocks), but more powerful than Scratch. It allows to create games in Flash or Android, and integrates gravity and scrolling.
- LOGIC Teens will learn the coding’s logic (loop, condition, events, variables, collisions…) and create algorithms without typing any line of code! The most curious can have a sneak peek at the JAVA code behind the blocks.
- GAME DESIGN They will design their own screens, with the graphic editor. They can make animations and customize their GUI (Game User Interface).
